Double Layer, Double Durability, and Zero Cutting

Runs 10% Cooler than Conventional Pads

While traditional pads accumulate heat during finishing, causing haze and micro-marring on sensitive paints, the HDO's dual-layer construction blocks heat transfer between layers, and the central cooling chamber dissipates temperature.

Total Stability in Large-Amplitude Machines

Unlike thin pads that wobble and lose contact on long-throw polishers, HDO's dual layer reduces lateral foam movement, eliminates wobbling, and maintains uniform pressure on the surface, even on curved panels and difficult contours.

Deep Finish without Any Risk to the Paintwork

Instead of compromising the correction work with a finishing pad that still leaves marks, the HDO CCS Black combines an aggressive cellular structure with an extremely soft density, which allows achieving deep optical clarity even on the softest and most delicate paints.

Lake Country HDO CCS Black – finishing pad for long throw polishers

The HDO CCS Black combines two Lake Country technologies in a single pad. The HDO (Heavy Duty Orbital) platform uses a dual foam layer construction that reduces internal friction, increases durability, and blocks heat transfer. CCS technology controls product release through the pockets on the pad's face. The result is a finishing pad that can withstand the torque of powerful machines while working smoothly enough not to mar.

How to Use

Step 1

Centre the pad on your long throw's backing plate and apply a moderate amount of sealant, wax, glaze, or finishing polish to the pad face.

Step 2

Distribute the product through the section at low speed before starting the pass, to ensure a thin and uniform layer

Step 3

Work the section with overlapping passes at low to medium speed, without pressure, allowing the foam and cells to distribute the product in a controlled manner.

Step 4

Wipe off the residue with a soft microfiber cloth and check the clarity and depth of the finish under direct light

FAQs

It works on both, but the HDO design was optimized for long-throw polishers. The dual layer and reinforced backing maximize performance on large-throw machines. On a conventional DA it works well, but if your machine is a standard DA, the CCS Cutback Black might be more suitable.

Both are non-cutting finishing pads with CCS technology, but for different machines. The CCS Cutback is thin and designed for conventional DA polishers. The HDO has a dual layer, a central cooling chamber and a 70° bevel, and was built to withstand the torque and throw of long throw polishers. If you have a Rupes, Griot's or similar, the HDO is the right choice.

The HDO CCS Black has an aggressive cellular structure combined with an extremely soft density. This allows it to remove very slight imperfections (residual micro-swirls from the previous step) while applying the finishing product. It is not a cutting pad, but it goes beyond simple application.
