Maximum Hardness for the Most Severe Defects

Maximum Cut in a Foam Pad

With a hardness of 5 out of 5, the blue pad is the most aggressive foam pad in the Thermo Trapez line and offers a more controllable alternative to wool for those who need to remove sanding marks and deep defects.

Thermo Foam that Withstands Extreme Pressure and Heat

The thermoset foam maintains full firmness even in the longest and most intense correction sessions, without the progressive flattening that renders conventional heavy-cut pads useless

Closer Cut Wool-Like Cleaner Finish

Whilst not matching the sheer cutting power of a wool pad, the blue delivers a significantly cleaner finish with fewer holograms, reducing the work needed in the refining step.

Zvizzer Thermo Trapez Pad Blue – extra strong cutting pad

Open-cell reticulated foam pad with thermo-stable Thermo technology and a trapezoidal profile. Extra strong hardness (5/5), 20mm thickness, inner hole for foam relaxation. Made in Germany. Compatible with orbital and rotary polishers. Use with heavy cutting compounds.

How to Use

Step 1

Attach the pad to the polisher's backing plate and apply a few drops of heavy-cut compound onto the foam.

Step 2

Spread at low speed with cross movements before increasing the rotation

Step 3

Work at medium-high speed with firm and constant pressure until the defect is removed.

Step 4

Remove residue with a microfiber cloth and refine with an orange or yellow pad and fine polish.

Preguntas frecuentes

The blue one is noticeably firmer and removes more material per pass. Where the red one needs several passes to eliminate a defect, the blue one gets there in fewer. The difference is most noticeable on hard clear coats and sanding marks from P1500, where every extra point of hardness counts to reduce working time.

For most car paint corrections, the blue is sufficient and easier to control than wool. Twisted wool or Thermo Nano Wool still offer more raw cutting for gelcoats, P1000 sanding marks or extremely hard clear coats. If you only work with car paint, the blue is probably the most you'll need in a foam.

It works with both, but the maximum cutting performance is achieved with a rotary polisher, where direct pressure enhances the 5/5 hardness. On an orbital polisher, the blue pad extracts more correction than any other foam pad in the line, but the limitation of eccentric mechanics means it cannot match the result of a rotary polisher. If you only have an orbital polisher and the defects are severe, the blue pad is your limit before moving on to wool.
